Mission Statement

I’m a speculative fiction author, trained dancer, and community film photographer dedicated to empowering students and engaging their creative expression as an emerging teaching artist. My teaching model uses creative writing to expand radical imagination, practice collaborative expression, and strengthen storytelling skills. I build my lessons using creative tools that develop life skills like critical thinking, teamwork, and emotional regulation. I believe art making is world making, and I combine pedagogy and artistry to cultivate dynamic classrooms rooted in self and sociocultural awareness in support of this transformative effort.
